NOSTRADAMUS ~ SOL GUY PREDICTING THE RISE OF K'NAAN & DRAKE

Watching the K'naan "Waving Flag" remix today, I reminisced on my view of his rise to this point - from the Dusty Foot philosopher days, to songs with my bredren Chubb Rock which raised my eyebrow, to cartoon videos, freestyles at the BET awards Cipher, to this. 

As I watched from the outside, I wondered what would make Sol Guy (one of my silent mentors and heroes), have the foresight to know that K'Naan, a dusty footed philosopher had the wherewithall to become an International star as opposed to being pigeon-holed into the category of "World Music".

Here's a clip from October 2009, where Sol says that 2 of the biggest artists in the world in twenty-ten would be none other than Drake and K'Naan - the "genre jumpers".
